Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Why should I choose Ortho Rehab over other physical therapy Clinics?

Ortho Rehab’s physical therapists pride themselves on providing the best, scientifically proven, hands-on care to their patients. Our residency trained staff members are among the most knowledgeable and skilled physical therapists in the region. By providing the “Best Demonstrated Clinical Practice” to our patients, we are able to decrease treatment time, treatment costs, and most importantly, improve patient outcomes.

Is it my choice when deciding on a physical therapy clinic?

Yes. A physician may refer you to a specific clinic, however, it is ultimately the patient’s decision on where to attend physical therapy. Just inform the physician of your preference.

Do you accept my insurance?

Ortho Rehab is contracted with most major insurance networks. Please check our list of accepted insurance policies to see if we are in network with your plan. Even if your plan is out of network, we will help you evaluate your options for physical therapy treatment. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our front office staff to discuss the specifics of your insurance plan.

What if I have no insurance?

Ortho Rehab will help you assess the best option for you. Please contact the Ortho Rehab nearest you for further details.

What should I expect during my first visit?

During your first visit, an initial evaluation of your injury will be performed by some of the most highly trained physical therapists in the country. Expect a thorough assessment of your injury upon your first visit.

How long will my treatment last?

Appointments typically last 30 minutes to 1 hour. Your first appointment may last a little longer.

How often will I attend physical therapy?

Your physician will either provide you with a physical therapy prescription that will indicate your number of visits or leave it up to the treating physical therapist. The number of visits may be modified based on your individual needs or your insurance policy plan.

What should I wear to physical therapy?

For your initial physical therapy visit, it is important to wear clothing that will allow us to evaluate your injury. For example, if you have a knee injury, please bring shorts; if you have a shoulder injury, please bring a tank top. Typical PT consists of exercise. Please wear or bring athletic shoes and appropriate exercise clothing.

Will you talk to my physician regarding my physical therapy treatment?

Ortho Rehab physical therapists are in frequent communication with your referring physicians. After your first physical therapy appointment, a typed evaluation will be delivered to your physician. We will re-evaluate your condition approximately once a month and send a progress note to your physician. Please advise your physical therapist of any additional follow-up visits with your physician.
